Wow things seem to be accelerating for my soon to be expanded family. With Jodi’s belly dropping more and more each day labor is eminent. Going through the mental checklist we have a lot of little fine details to hash out. Like, oh crap. I never contacted Viacord to get the blood collection kit, I have to do that today. I also have to order new tubing and parts for the breast pump! That will take a week to get in! I also have to put the baby seat base into each car, clean the portable crib, buy diapers, clean the bottles…woo hooo!
Meanwhile, I have to explain to Eli, who suddenly is concerned that he can only have one mommy, and mommy can only have one him. Clearly Mommy can’t be mommy to Ziggy AND Eli…oh boy. Here we go. We had this problem with the word love. If he was in a mommy mood, then he would say, I only love Mommy, not you daddy or vice-versa. It took awhile for him to say I love both Mommy and Daddy. It just goes to show that I have my work cut out for me in making sure Eli understands and is a part of all this fun and excitement.
