In a series of conversations via facebook (http://www.facebook.com/bernardhny) people, adults, are posting and sending me private messages saying that they let their kids drink at home as long as they are not going out. They also claim that teaching them to drink responsibly is their job as a parent.
I have one shocking response. Please let me know when your going to do this and I will happily call the police department and turn you in for giving alcohol to minors. Then I will hope and pray that child protective services gets involved to judge whether your kids should be in or out of your home.
Teaching your kids to abstain from alcohol is the proper thing to do when they are underage. There should never be a question about that. If you do question it, you should look in the mirror and take a reality check.
